The Hanged Man is suspension. Progress stopped, a decision out of your hands, a stretch of waiting with no clear end. What makes this card bearable is that the pause is doing something: from a standstill you notice what motion was hiding. The situation you were certain about looks different from here. When it appears, the useful move is genuinely counter-intuitive — stop pushing, and let the delay change your mind rather than just your schedule. What it costs is time and the feeling of agency. This is not a productive-looking period, and you may have to watch things move on without you while it lasts.
